Chief People & Culture Officer
Before work, I like to… get our toddler, Aurora, ready for nursery school. It’s a lovely kind of chaos first thing in the morning in our house. We treasure having breakfast together as a family before the day begins.
My role at Healthily is all about… attracting and retaining exceptional minds. It’s about building partnerships with my team and Healthily as a whole. We collectively design and deliver people programmes that embody a culture of trust and helpfulness.
I wanted to work for Healthily because… of the people and purpose. I get to work with intelligent and interesting people who genuinely care about our mission – to help a billion people find their health through self-care.
One thing I’ve learnt about self-care since working here is... that scheduling self-care is very helpful in making sure you actually do it and it becomes a habit you want to keep. Life is busy, remote working is intense, and the day can easily slip by. I have time scheduled in my diary at lunchtime to make sure I have a bite to eat and take the dogs out for a quick walk. This small action has had a big impact on the freshness of my mind – happy me and happy dogs, too!
My favourite moment at Healthily so far has been... seeing everyone’s faces at our fully remote All Hands at the end of 2020. There was a great energy about coming together and lots of hope for the future.
The self-care practice I love to do is… take a bath at the end of the day before bed. I love having this time to let my mind wind down in anticipation of hopefully an unbroken night’s sleep.
My lockdown survival tip is… learning how to stretch properly at your desk. This is a habit that I intend to keep – lockdown or not.
After work, I like to… collect Aurora from the nursery, have a snack with her and get her ready for bed. I feel fortunate to work with a company that has a flexible approach to how we manage our own calendars. I love how we are treated like adults and left to make our home and professional lives work in a way that suits both us and the business.
If I wasn’t a Chief People & Culture Officer, I’d be a… coach. I love supporting people as they grow, seeing them have their ‘aha’ moments and trying to better themselves.
