Dr. Richard Kim is a proven leader in employer well-being strategy, with expertise in occupational health, health insurance design, disability management, and digital health transformation. Most recently, he served as the Chief Medical Officer at American Express where he led the enterprise through the COVID-19 pandemic, earning him the Amex Chairman’s Award in 2020. Previous posts include Associate Medical Director at Goldman Sachs, and Medical Director at The Coca-Cola Company through Emory Healthcare. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and practised medicine in Atlanta and Los Angeles, California. Richard holds an MD from the Emory University School of Medicine and an MBA in strategy and business development from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He also earned an BA in Microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
